She...is a female veteran…I chose to serve in the U.S. Air
Force over 30 years  ago...right out of High School.

As  far as I can remember I have always been
helpful and volunteered to help
out.  However, my journey to start
VeteranHelpers.com came while I was
recuperating from medical problems  (heart  failure,  triple by-pass
and a mild stroke) in 2009.  The one thing that touched me
the most  while on the road to recovery is all theHelp I
received  from so many people (family, friends and organizations).
Oh  yes… it is a blessing and miracle that I made a full recovery. I believe while
recovering this vision
came to me as the next step in my life to give back.   Today
I am working my vision  to help& make a difference in the lives  of homeless &  disabled veterans located in shelters throughout the
Dallas Fort Worth  metroplex.  I believe in the basics and I simply want to  provide  personal care & hygiene items …which are much needed by so many
located  in shelters. Here’s  to the first of many steps I will be taking  to give back and make a  difference in the lives of those who need  help.

How  will I make a  difference?

Simple...I have  started  volunteering my time to dispense donated  personal care &  hygiene items to individuals.  I do this on  Saturdays at Presbyterian
Night  Shelter
in Tarrant County (Fort Worth Tx).

Next...my  goal is to  raise  money so that I will be able to purchase and  donate  the much needed items on a regular basis. Currently I am  selling
Thank  a Veteran Ceramic Spooner  Mugs that  express Thanks & Appreciation to our Veterans. The proceeds  &  donations are used to purchase soap, disposal razors, lotion,  deodorant,  detergent, etc.

I   thank everyone in advance  for their  support in helping me pursue my vision to make a difference in the  lives of  our homeless and disabled Veterans...May GOD Bless us  all~

~Karen
